Hi I’m Lorraine, founder of Boost my maths
As a mother of three and a maths education expert for over 20 years, I know how challenging the journey of learning mathematics can be for both parents and children.
I needed something that fits into my schedule while ensuring my child is actually learning something robust, straightforward, and effective.
That’s why we created Boost My Maths—an app that keeps kids motivated with gamification but stays focused on strengthening core skills, without unnecessary distractions. No gimmicks, just maths that works.
After studying at Cambridge University I became a maths teacher and soon rose to leading a department. I am also an A Level Maths examiner for Edexcel. With the skills and knowledge acquired from my journey, I have embedded a “progress through practice” approach to the app to ensure children are making relevant steps towards confidence and fluency in some of the areas that learners struggle with the most.
